Fall Family Portraits – San Diego Photographer – The Wootens

I have been having such a fun time looking back on my session from this fall. Some of my favorite sessions of the year took place this fall and I haven’t had a chance to share them with you here because it was such a busy season. I wanted to be sure to share the Wooten family’s session!

Look how adorable little Samuel is! His smile was so contagious. It took him a little bit to warm up to me, but once he did, there was no stopping him! This session was all about playing! Samuel’s parents and I chased him all around the park and played. He was in his element and having so much fun. It was really special to see the bond between this beautiful family.

Here are a few of my favorites from their session. The one on the bottom left still blows me away! I love that Samuel looked over and smiled at the camera right when he was mid air. Talk about an epic shot!

It’s time for a fall flashback! Fall season for a family photographer is like tax season for an accountant. Things get so busy and keeping up with my blog was something that was put on the back burner while I was making sure that everyone got their portraits in time for their holiday cards and gifts. But, some of my very favorite sessions happened this fall and I didn’t want to miss the chance to share them with all of you.

One of my very favorite sessions this fall was with the Wells Family in San Marcos, CA. Their little ones, Gavin and Solana stole my heart! It was so fun to see their connection. Even at only 5 months old (at the time, it was apparent that Solana really admires and looks up to her older brother and Gavin just loves to make her smile. I had a great time capturing this adorable family playing together and enjoying each other’s company. I am really looking forward to seeing them all again soon when little Solana turns one!

Here are some highlights from our session! Enjoy!

San Marcos Family Photographer – Landon’s Big Announcement

Little Landon has a big announcement! He’s going to be a big brother!

I have been on pins and needles waiting to share this session with all of you. It is one of my favorites to date. Being a photographer is so rewarding. I am blessed to get to be a part of such special times in your lives. I am honored to have captured this fun pregnancy announcement for the Howard family. Landon is going to be a great big brother! San Diego Child Photographer – Cora and Grace Turn 2

Cora and Grace have been best friends since birth! Their moms, Carly and Haley, were roommates in college and have been best friends since. They even got pregnant at the same time and their girls were born just a couple of weeks apart. How cool is that? It is so rare to find a lifelong friend, but to both have baby girls within weeks of each other is fate!

Cora and Grace turn 2 this month! I had been talking to their moms about this session for months and was so excited that the day had finally come. It was so much fun to chase Cora and Grace all around and capture their big moment. Happy birthday girls!

Here are some of my favorites from their session. There were so many, it was hard to choose!

San Marcos Family Session – The Smiths

It was a perfect evening for a family session! The light was GORGEOUS, the temperature was great, the location was stunning – and the Smith family was so much fun (not to mention completely photogenic). Little Charlotte had us all in stitches with her adorable laugh and watching the bond between the boys was a sight to behold. My all time favorite sibling photo I have ever taken is the one (below) of Nathan and AJ having a brotherly love moment. Swoon! These kids are so close and have the type of relationship that I hope for my kids to have with each other. Kuddos to Susan and Austin, you have wonderful children and are seriously doing a great job with them. Can we just also mention how well dressed this family is? I love how they’re coordinated so well and the colors that they chose really make their photos pop (good job Mom!). It was my pleasure to get to know the Smith family. I am already looking forward to their next session and hope that it’s soon!

Fall Family Session, San Marcos CA – The Lewis Family

Recently, I found out that I am allergic to dogs. It was nice to finally figure out what has been making me feel so crumby all of the time, but it’s also been a huge struggle. We have two dogs at home and I often have clients that bring their dogs along for their sessions. I’m finding ways to make it work for me and still get to be around the dogs that I love (so, don’t worry, still bring your dog to your session!). Just a few days after I found out about my dog allergy, I met Ella! Ella is the Lewis Family’s English bull dog, and I fell in love with her. She is so energetic and really brought that extra element of fun to this session. The photo of her running with her family in the background is one of my all time favorite photos that I have ever taken.

Just when I thought it couldn’t get any more cute than Ella, I met Logan! Talk about a sweet heart and photogenic little girl! She was all smiles and laughs. Her parents are just as stunningly gorgeous. This family is really just picture perfect and they belong in a magazine.

North County San Diego Family Session – The Gibsons

This family session with the Gibson’s felt like hanging out at the park with friends. They are such a laid back and fun family. They love to be outdoors and are a very active family. We really focused on catching them in natural and authentic moments. My camera sure loved little Rhys! He is seriously so photogenic. I’m looking forward to getting to spend time with the Gibson’s again in the future.
