On June 22, 2017, Redwood Terrace in Escondido, California had the grand opening for their memory care facility, the Gannon House. It was such a special event to be a part of. Many representatives from the Escondido Chamber of Commerce, the Escondido Court, representatives from the mayor and senator’s offices, board members, the press, Redwood Terrace residents, and friends from neighboring retirement facilities were there to celebrate. Members of the Gannon family, the Kattus family, and the Burson family were also there to see the areas of the Gannon House that are dedicated to their family members. It was very touching to see their family members being honored. It was a beautiful event with a ribbon cutting ceremony, delicious food, and a wonderful celebration. It was an honor to capture this special time.

Summer is so close, I can almost taste the all of the ice cream that I am about to consume! Ok, ok… I’ll admit it. I have already stocked the freezer with Choco-tacos and Klondike bars. I’ll also admit that they are already almost gone. My late nights of editing call for ice cream!
My sweet little girl is graduating kindergarten in just a couple of days. Schools here in Escondido don’t let out for summer until June 20th. Kindergarten Graduation is such a special time and a big accomplishment. Our school doesn’t do a graduation ceremony. I still wanted to make a HUGE big deal out of this moment for my daughter and her classmates. So, I got a cap and gown and threw a graduation mini session event! I just absolutely love how the pictures turned out.
Congrats graduates! First grade is going to be amazing. I hope you all have a wonderful summer full of ice cream treats! See you in August!

Meet Kailei and Cassidy! These gorgeous girls are two of my senior reps. It was a pleasure to meet them and capture their beauty. They have been friend’s since elementary school. They were so great at making eachother laugh. It was a joy to capture their bond. It showed in every photo. It was an overcast day. We had to chase the sun a little bit for this shoot. Finally, the sun made a small appearance toward the end of the shoot. The result was absolutely stunning. Congrats on your upcoming senior year ladies! You’re going to be great!

Last week, I met with beautiful Elena and her mom. First we met at an elementary school. I’m so glad that they trusted me about the location. They must have thought that I was crazy to have them meet me there. But, this is a secret amazing location with beautiful lines! Next, we moved over to Kit Carson Park, and it was ever so gorgeous! It was so special to capture their mother / daughter bond. They had each other giggling the entire time. I learned that miss Elena is a total angel that never gets into any trouble, except for when she was a toddler and got into the markers and ate all of the tops off of them. We decided that must have been the defining moment in which Elena discovered that she wanted to be a makeup artist. Here are a few of my favorites from the shoot.
