I can hardly believe it, but I have lived in San Diego for four years now (for those that don’t know, I was born and raised in Utah). I still feel like a tourist here at times. There are just so many beautiful places to see and to photograph. Although I used to live in East County San Diego for years, I hadn’t ever been to the Sweetwater River Bridge / Steel Canyon Bridge. It’s a beautiful place that goes by many names. Now that I am in North County, it seemed to be the perfect time to go, right? It was SO worth the drive. The Sweetwater River Bridge in El Cajon is picture perfect. It isn’t a hike to get to it either, it is just right off of Campo Road! What made this session even more fun was the amazing family that I got to photograph. I had a great time playing with the kids and bringing out their true personalities. She was like a princess when she twirled in her dress. He was very excited about his fruit snack bribe and loved to scream to make us all laugh. It was a picture perfect night with a wonderful family, beautiful light, and a gorgeous location. I’m secretly hoping that another family wants to have their photos taken there soon so that I have a good excuse to go back.
